UrbanBuilt is a turn-key contracting service provider for both commercial and residential clients. We guide our clients through every step of the construction process, from planning and permitting through final close-out. With our office in Baltimore, MD, we currently have the capability to collaborate with clients on construction projects in Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia.

We turn empty or outdated spaces into modern, efficient and welcoming homes or places of business. We have the capability to perform full-gut and multi-family renovations for our residential clients and tenant fit-outs as well as phased and occupied renovations for our commercial clients. We also have experience completing ADA Conversions to meet the accessibility standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act for health care service providers.

The pre-construction phase is one of the most critical stages in the building process. It is during this phase that we work hand in hand with our clients to determine goals, create a shared vision, and lay out expectations. During the pre-construction phase our capabilities include:

Feasibility Study

A feasibility study by UrbanBuilt will evaluate whether the project you’re planning is a good fit for your property, and whether any restrictions or special permits may apply. We will help you build a budget for your project and help determine the best use of resources to achieve quality results within your budget and timeline.


We have the capability to work with our clients to design a structure ideally suited to meet the requirements determined through the feasibility study. We have created strong partnerships with design firms both locally and regionally that specialize in the projects we build for our clients. Each design firm has a clear understanding of our client’s needs and will incorporate proper flow, functionality, and finishes into each design.


With the help of our partnerships, we can provide assistance to our clients in obtaining all proper permitting and licensing that is required by the local jurisdiction.


Project financing can often be difficult to obtain and can be the reason why an otherwise successful project is never built. At UrbanBuilt, we can leverage our experience and relations with lenders to help you get the best financing available for your project. We have relationships with private investors, small loan lenders, 203k lenders, conventional lenders and banks.

General Contracting & Project Management

In order to produce the highest quality of work on time and within budget, we provide several levels of Project Management. Each project has a Job Foreman, Production Supervisor, and Project Manager assigned to manage each phase. Together as a team, they use their skills, expertise and years of experience to execute each construction project.

UrbanBuilt has the ability to self-perform many phases of construction. Our in-house crews are comprised of talented carpenters, masons and painters who efficiently produce high quality work on all of our projects. For the phases that we do not self-perform, skilled and licensed tradesmen are hired as subcontractors to complete those phases. Our subcontractors all meet strict licensing and insurance requirements before working on our projects and most have worked for UrbanBuilt on multiple projects.

Post Construction

We work hard to ensure the highest quality outcome on every project. When your project is completed our service does not end there. We provide project closeout services and cover all of our scope of work completed during the project with limited warranties. At client’s option, we also can offer maintenance programs.

Project Closeout

The final stage of the construction process is the project closeout. We assist our clients with the final reconciliation of project financing as well as providing all documents for warranty, maintenance and service programs.

Warranty, Service & Maintenance Programs

It is important that our clients are supported after the completion of the project. When construction has ended, we offer our clients maintenance programs that go beyond the given warranty and service plans. Our maintenance plans are tailored to what our clients desire and are designed especially for each project and situation.
