Production Coordinator

Position Summary: Provide office support to our construction team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists production team including Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and Managing Partners
  • Prepare Master Subcontractor agreements
  • Review vendor qualification
  • Create and process vendor subcontract agreements and change orders
  • Create and process supplier purchase orders
  • Help provide communication to clients
  • Work with utility companies
  • Complete special orders
  • Schedule building inspections
  • Miscellaneous project administration

Skills/Qualification Requirements:

  • Must be able to adhere to management directives
  • Strong skills in organization and multi-tasking
  • Strong administrative and office skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • At a minimum, 3 years experience in office administrative tasks in construction industry
  • Must have strong communications skills, be well spoken, and present professionally
  • Needs to have customer/client service experience and know how to deal with challenging situations.

Compensation: Salary range between $35k and $40k dependent upon experience with full benefits package including vacation and sick leave, health benefits, and 401k employer match program.

Junior Construction Estimator

Position Summary: This position is intended as an entry-level role for someone with a strong interest in and passion for the construction industry. The junior construction estimator will project and control construction costs by collecting and studying information, present information collected for bids and for ongoing project data.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project cost estimation for sales proposals by completing the following:

    • Analyze blueprints and other documentation provided to prepare vendor bid packages, materials estimates, and labor estimates
    • Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by providing vendor bid packages which specify materials; identify qualified subcontractors; negotiation pricing
    • Consult with sales team, production team, clients, engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors in collecting information for bidding and for ongoing projects
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
  • Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.

Skills/Qualification Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree specializing in construction management, construction technology, engineering, construction engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Experience reading and understanding drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and some form of estimating or digital takeoff software
  • Must be able to analyze information, develop budgets, and maintain vendor relationships
  • Must have strong skills in reporting, documenting, and team work
  • Must have strong communications skills, be well spoken, and present professionally.

Project Manager

Position Summary: To successfully plan, staff, implement, control and evaluate residential and commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Subcontractor and vendor buyout
  • Prepare and update project schedules
  • Prepare and track submittals
  • Attend and lead project progress meetings
  • Prepare and disseminate weekly project progress report
  • Work with clients on production progress, open issues, change orders, and materials selections
  • Prepare and track change orders (client and subcontract)
  • Assist in oversight of company safety program
  • Assist in oversight of project quality control
  • Maintain control and oversight of project budgets

Skills/Qualification Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in construction management or a business concentration
  • Must have 5-7 years experience in construction project supervision and/or management for commercial and residential projects above $250,000 in value
  • Must be able to manage a team, work well with others, and adhere to management directives
  • Must have strong skills in organizing, planning, and implementing project controls to meet strict deadlines
  • Must have strong communication skills, including speaking and writing professionally
  • Must have strong computer skills and be able to use all programs in Microsoft Office.

Construction Supervisor

Position Summary: Manage the construction process of projects, including supervision of in-house labor, subcontractors and vendors; organize project schedules; interact with inspectors and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise in-house field crews
  • Schedule provided crews and vendors
  • Project quality control
  • Perform onsite safety inspections and maintain a safe onsite work environment
  • Maintain control and reporting of construction contract budgets
  • Work with clients on production progress, open issues, change orders and materials selections
  • Build relationships with inspectors to foster production
  • Maintain and build high quality relationships with subcontractors and vendors
  • Daily communications with Production Manager
  • Hands-on carpentry work from time to time to help complete projects by deadline or perform service

Skills/Qualification Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a team, work well with others and adhere to management directives
  • Strong skills in organizing job sites, following production schedules to meet strict deadlines, and communication a MUST
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in construction project supervision for projects above $100,000
  • Hands-on experience in construction
  • Must have strong communications skills, be well spoken, and present professionally

Compensation: Salary starting at $65k depending on experience. Truck allowance and mileage reimbursement provided. Competitive benefits package including 401k and health insurance also included.

Carpenter — Skilled & Experienced (Baltimore)

Position Summary: Carpenter needed for commercial work in the Baltimore and surrounding areas; framing, hanging drywall, drop ceilings, miscellaneous carpentry, high end trim, mill work and finish carpentry.

Responsibilities:

  • Use tools to prepare, join, and construct materials for upcoming projects
  • Communicate daily with several Production Supervisors
  • Engage in some heavy lifting, framing, trim work, drywall and other activities.

Skills/Qualification Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of the residential or commercial structure
  • Must be able to determine the tools and equipment needed to complete a job
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have strong communications skills, be well spoken, and present professionally
  • Must provide your own tools.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm with a potential for overtime.

Ceramic Tile Installer

Position Summary: Ceramic tile installation and expertise

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of ceramic tile at professional, skilled level
  • Ability to work independently in a timely and efficient manner

Skills/Qualification Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of ceramic tile installation process
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Must be able to lift 70+ pounds
  • Must have strong communications skills, be well spoken and present professionally
  • Must be able to provide your own tools if needed

General Labor

Position Summary: Transport materials from the job supply house to the job site and provide general labor support.

Responsibilities:

  • Transportation of materials in a safe and time-efficient manner
  • Daily communication with several Production Supervisors
  • Hands-on work from time to time to help complete projects by deadline or perform service

Skills/Qualification Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of trailer towing and a good sense of direction in the Baltimore metro area
  • Must have the physical ability, balance and coordination to do heavy physical labor, including climbing, handling tools and materials, and lifting 70+ pounds
  • Must have strong communications skills, be well spoken, and present professionally
  • Must be able to provide your own tools as needed
  • Must be hard working, highly motivated and able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with the potential for overtime
  • Punctuality is a must.
